Slide Surfcamp in Portugal welcomes you with empty lineups including beach and pointbreaks right at your doorstep. Located right at the surf spot, we are the only surf school around. The surf house with its rooftop terrace and spacious pool provides the perfect place to relax and unwind after a successful surf day. Surfing conditions are excellent all year around with the surrounding region offering numerous breaks, for example Praia da Barra, Costa Nova, Espinho, Esmoriz and also the longest wave of Portugal in Buarcos is easily reachable.

Praia da Vagueira, a fisher’s village is the home of Slide Surf Camp, located about 70 kilometers from the center of Porto. The district capital Aveiro, which is also known as the "Venice of Portugal", can be reached by car in a few minutes. With its many water canals, narrow streets and small boats reminiscent of Venetian gondolas, this place carries you away to the Adriatic Sea radiating a Mediterranean atmosphere. Also, a car ride away from Slide Surfcamp lies the Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in the country. With an altitude of over 2000 meters, the mountains sometimes even offer the chance to ski and snowboard. In the warmer months, however, the mountains are mainly characterized by excellent hiking and mountain bike trails that lead through breathtaking nature and offer unforgettable views.

The region around the Slide Surfcamp still has a very native charm. Absent from mass tourism, many things still go their traditional way. Fishing, cod drying and the local gastronomy characterize the area as well as the island feeling which is caused by the enormous water wealth of the region. The home of the Slide Surfcamp - Praia da Vagueira - is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the one side and a 50km long lagoon on the other side. Immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere of northern Portugal and get to know the country, the people and of course the waves from a very relaxed side. Rounding off a perfect surf day, we also offer Yoga and massages that will make you feel like heaven. Far away from the mass touristic side of Portugal, we have created an oasis for you in the Slide Surfcamp where you will find a unique surf experience that leaves hardly any wish unfulfilled.

First-class equipment, experienced surf instructors and detailed teaching make every session a success. In our surf camp in Portugal you will find the perfect conditions to learn or improve your surfing skills and to surf undisturbed. The empty lineups offer best conditions to learn how to surf. You'll never be short of action out of the water either. For real water rats we offer further water sport activities with our local partners. From sailing to kayaking everything is possible at Slide Surfcamp.

Our catering is designed to accompany this active lifestyle and helps you replenish your energy reserves. Of course, we only use fresh and regional ingredients and always serve a vegetarian option. Upon request in the morning, at noon and in the evening.

Our focus is clearly on surfing and we do everything we can to bring you closer to this sport, which has become an integral part of our lives. Everybody is welcome at the Slide Surfcamp, no matter how old or young and at which surf level. We offer surf courses for beginners, intermediates and surf guiding. We are not a party camp, which of course does not mean that there is a curfew at 10 pm. We put a lot of emphasis on togetherness and conviviality and thus create a family atmosphere around the surf house. We offer free bicycles, longboards, skateboards, cruisers, surf skates, kickers, slackline, balance boards, table tennis and other sports equipment. When booking, you can choose between double rooms, triple rooms and shared facilities.
